The ENRICHVIC Continuing Professional Development Program for Victorian pharmacists - an initiative of the Pharmacy Board of Victoria.
The ENRICHVIC program handbook and supporting material has been developed to assist pharmacists in recording continuing professional development (CPD) activities. It has been adapted from the Enrich Program introduced and successfully operated by the Pharmacy Board of South Australia for the past four years and the Board acknowledges their support.

One of the functions of the Pharmacy Board of Victoria under the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 (the Act) is to initiate and promote programs that it considers will improve pharmacists' ability to practise. The ENRICHVIC program is based on life-long learning principles. It encourages pharmacists to self-assess, identify, and undertake CPD activities with meaning and relevance to themselves and their area of practice. The major focus of ENRICHVIC is the recording of participation in CPD in a consistent manner. For many, this will simply mean completing the documentation of activities they have been regularly undertaking in the past. The ENRICHVIC program will encompass CPD programs that already exist. The Handbook provides guidance to current and future education providers to ensure that they develop quality education activities which have meaning and impact on the practice of pharmacy and to interface with the ENRICHVIC program. A commitment to ENRICHVIC by practising pharmacists is a means of ensuring quality pharmacy care. Consequently, this will maintain the confidence of the public in Victorian pharmacists. With the introduction of ENRICHVIC, Victorian pharmacists will join other Victorian health professionals in participating in formal professional development programs.
